Dehumidification in ice rinks
Dehumidification of ice rinks often involves a high cost in terms of electricity consumption.
The need for dehumidification varies greatly over the season, which means that the dimensioning of dehumidification plants is often adapted to the peak demand. This results in unnecessarily high energy consumption even during the periods when dehumidification needs are lower.
Our solution: With Airwatergreen dehumidifiers, it is possible to reduce energy consumption because our dehumidifiers need less energy per kg of water removed from the air. The dehumidifiers are equally effective even at low temperatures.
Our NEXT dehumidifier has a uniquely low energy consumption and can handle an airflow of up to 10,000 m3/h. In addition, there is a turbo function that can double the capacity for some time to deal with incoming humid air.
REX needs less than half as much energy to remove the same amount of water from the air compared to traditional sorption dehumidification. The airflow is 1,000 m3/h and even REX is equally effective at all temperatures and humidity levels!
Product selection for ice rinks
The dehumidification requirement depends on the moisture load in the premises, which can be estimated by calculation.
NEXT has a uniquely low energy consumption and can reduce up to 500 kg of water per day with an airflow of up to 10,000 m3/h. The dehumidifier has the same capacity even at low temperatures, making it suitable for this type of installation.
In addition, there is a built-in turbo function that can double the capacity for some time to deal with incoming humid air.
REX has an airflow capacity of 1,000 m3/h and is easy to position. If necessary, several units can be placed in several locations in the premises depending on the moisture load. REX is also equally effective at low temperatures.
NEXT & REX can be connected to existing monitoring systems via Modbus.
