Dehumidification in the production and distribution of drinking water

Airwatergreen dehumidification technology is very suitable for dehumidifying buildings that handle drinking water.

Drinking water

Half the energy consumption compared to traditional technologies and the same energy efficiency even at low temperatures. This makes it possible to reduce unnecessary heating and instead establish a good climate by removing moisture from the air.

Airwatergreen products are very easy to install as they do not require any unnecessary ventilation pipes. Dry air and water are produced on site and all our products can be easily connected for monitoring.

The dehumidifiers can be controlled by an external sensor against the temperature of cold surfaces such as cold pipes. This is the best way to avoid condensation. The air may feel dry but condensation can still occur on cold pipes.

Waterworks

Challenge: Large volumes and high standards of cleanliness. Cold surfaces on walls and pipes with a risk of condensation. It is the temperature of these surfaces that determines the relative humidity (RH) level required for a good climate.
Our solution:
Energy-efficient dehumidification that continuously controlsdehumidification towards the right level. Position the dehumidifiers so as not to create a microclimate. The dehumidifier
REX
is suitable for larger waterworks and FLEX in smaller ones. Dew point control using external sensors makes optimal dehumidification possible.

Pipe galleries

Challenge: Cold pipes where condensation easily forms.

Our solution:
Control dehumidification against the temperature of the pipes to reach the relative humidity (RH) level needed to avoid condensation.

Open water beds in filter halls

Challenge: Large open water surfaces that emit moisture. It is important to keep the right temperature difference between the water surface and the air in the room at all times.

Our solution:
Airwatergreen high-capacity dehumidifiers that control the desired relative humidity (RH) level regardless of temperature.

Polymer space

Challenge: A correct and stable moisture level is required for the chemicals to feel good and maintain the right consistency.

Our solution: Set the required relative humidity (RH) level for the chemicals being stored and adjust the dehumidification capacity according to the moisture load over time and at the prevailing temperature in the room.

Staff rooms and other areas and storage facilities

Challenge: Good ventilation is important. A ventilation system that can itself constitute a moisture load during the summer months when the humidity in the outdoor air rises.

Our solution:
Adapt the dehumidification capacity to the calculated and assessed moisture load. Let the dehumidifier maintain the right relative humidity (RH) level over time using its built-in and/or external sensors.

Product selection

The choice of product depends on the moisture load in the room/space. The moisture load can be measured and estimated by calculation, taking into account factors such as total air volume, temperatures and ventilation.

In small to medium-sized spaces, FLEX is the natural choice. Dew point sensors can be used to guide FLEX towards the right relative humidity (RH) level to avoid condensation on cold surfaces. FLEX Can be mounted on a wall bracket or free standing on the floor.

REX is best used in larger spaces such as open water beds and polymer rooms.

Both FLEX and REX can be connected to existing surveillance systems, via WiFi or via Modbus.
