Dehumidification in drinking water production and distribution
Prevent corrosion, condensation and bacterial growth in water systems while reducing energy costs.
Applications in drinking water facilities
Boost stations
- Challenge: Rapid air pressure changes can cause condensation, leading to corrosion and system failures.
- Our solution: FLEX dehumidifiers for small spaces, offering stable and energy-efficient moisture control. Compact, wall-mounted design for easy installation in confined areas.
Water reservoirs
- Challenge: Large storage tanks with fluctuating temperatures create a high risk of condensation and corrosion.
- Our solution: NEXT-S dehumidifiers handle heavy moisture loads and ensure a stable humidity level. Dew point sensors optimize dehumidification based on temperature fluctuations.
Water treatment plants
- Challenge: Open water surfaces, pipe networks, and ventilation changes create uncontrolled humid environments.
- Our solution: REX or NEXT-S units keep relative humidity below 60%, preventing condensation. Smart control systems adapt to temperature variations and reduce the need for excessive heating.

Our solutions for drinking water facilities
Product selection depends on the moisture load of the room or space. The moisture load can be measured and estimated through calculations that take factors such as total air volume, temperatures, and ventilation into account.
For small to medium-sized spaces, FLEX is the natural choice. Dew point sensors can be used to control FLEX to achieve the correct relative humidity (RH) and prevent condensation on cold surfaces. FLEX can be wall-mounted or placed freestanding on the floor.
For larger spaces such as open water basins and polymer rooms, REX is the optimal alternative. REX has a capacity of 30 liters of water per day, which may be necessary in larger halls with open water surfaces and in extensive pipe culverts.
For very large facilities, NEXT is the most suitable choice.
We can assist with the measurement and assessment of moisture loads, as well as provide recommendations on how to design an optimal installation.
