Background information
For a large part of the year, moist air enters cold stores even in northern Sweden. Moisture that condenses on cold surfaces can lead to slipping accidents and other incidents. But also to damage to packaging and unnecessary ice formation on the cooling units. Therefore, it is good to remove the water from the air with a dehumidifier that works effectively at the low temperatures that apply in a cold store.
During installation, a number of REX dehumidifiers were used initially, as there was a delivery delay for the larger NEXT model. Over the summer, the REX dehumidifiers had to work hard, as their capacity was at the limit of what was needed to handle the actual moisture load. Despite this, the machines were able to maintain a good climate in the warehouse. Both REX and NEXT have uniquely low power consumption, are easy to install, and have high capacity even at low temperatures!
The simplicity of installation made it possible to easily use a temporary installation while waiting for the more powerful NEXT .
What problems did the Airwatergreen dehumidifier solve?
Over the summer, six REX units placed around the warehouse handled the moisture that came in with the warm air that penetrated the building. Now, two NEXT have NEXT with a significantly higher total capacity and lower electricity consumption per kg of water removed from the air.
The REX dehumidifiers were connected via our cloud-based Climate Control System solution and the NEXTs are now also connected in the same way. This makes it possible to constantly get a good control of the climate but also the operating situation.
Benefits of using awg products vs. doing nothing?
In the cold store, condensation on cold surfaces can now be avoided. This was previously a health and safety issue that risked leading to accidents and damage to goods and property.
