Background information
The Hallertau Water Supply Association is a water company in Bavaria, north of Munich (Germany). The water company, which supplies drinking water to over 35,000 inhabitants, gets most of its raw water from the ground. Hallertau's waterworks produces 8,500m3 of water every day.
What problems did the Airwatergreen dehumidifier solve?
In the main building of the waterworks, there were repeated problems with heavy condensation on the cold water transport pipes and wetness on the floor.
During the summer, the air in the building is heated strongly by the sun through the large windows and the relative humidity drops. Due to the cold temperature in the pipes, the water still in the air starts to condense.
During the night, when the temperature drops, the relative humidity rises again to a level that is too high.
The conclusion was that there was a need for a dehumidifier that could reduce the relative humidity to a much lower level during the day. A dehumidifier that could work equally effectively at all temperatures - high and low.
Benefits of using awg products vs. doing nothing?
In the past, dehumidifiers with compressor technology were used, but they could not lower the relative humidity to the level required to prevent condensation.
The technology used in REX can reduce the relative humidity to the required low level. And REX can do this with much less energy than alternative solutions.
