Background information
Vårfruberga-Härads parish is a parish within the Church of Sweden located in the countryside just west of Strängnäs. The parish has four medieval churches with high cultural and historical values. The church building in Helgarö has for a long time had problems with high moisture levels and mold growth on walls and fixtures. Moisture investigations have been carried out which have shown very high moisture levels during certain parts of the year. The church has also undergone a relatively extensive and costly mold remediation.

A 'domestic' dehumidifier was previously installed in the church, but its capacity was inadequate and it was not adapted to the temperatures usually found in the church.
