Background
Construction of the 10,000-square-meter office property began in 2018, with occupancy scheduled for the turn of the year 2020/2021. The objective is to reduce energy consumption in accordance with the schedule.
What problems did Airwatergreen's dehumidifiers solve?
Airwatergreen dehumidifiers were used to lower and maintain the correct humidity level in the property during the construction process. The aim was to achieve a significant reduction in energy consumption while also improving the indoor climate in the building throughout the project.
Airwatergreen's dehumidification technology ensures that the dehumidifier operates with equal efficiency across all temperatures. Water is extracted directly from the air, eliminating the need for ventilation. Consequently, all supplied thermal energy remains within the building, making the dehumidifier highly energy-efficient.
Benefits of using Airwatergreen's products versus doing nothing?
Traditionally, various types of ventilation and/or air heating are frequently used during the construction process. This is done to drive moisture out of building materials and to keep the relative humidity (RH) below 60% within the building. Ventilation and heating during construction are costly, not least considering the amount of energy that escapes the building.
In our next project, we will use dehumidifiers just as we did at the Celsius building, and we will also lower the indoor temperature by a couple of degrees to further reduce costs.
