Production of beer

QUICK FACTS

Background information

For a large part of the year, humid air enters the refrigerated premises used for the production and storage of beer at the various stages of production. Moisture condenses on cold surfaces and can lead to corrosion, mold and even slipping accidents. Therefore, it is good to remove the water from the air with a dehumidifier that works efficiently at the low temperatures of a cold store where the cold surfaces are kept at 3-4°C.

In other words, what is important is to drive the dehumidification to the level needed to avoid condensation on the coldest surfaces. It is also an advantage if you can avoid complicated pipework and holes in external walls.

What problems did the Airwatergreen dehumidifier solve?

In the first step, a test was conducted with 2 NEXT verify the assessment of the moisture load. The test made it possible to assess the amount of moisture generated inside the building and the moisture penetrating from outside. This moisture load typically varies throughout the year.

Based on this verification, an additional NEXT was installed NEXT the total NEXT three, located in different places in the premises. NEXT
The machines are controlled based on data from external dew point sensors and now maintain an optimal climate to prevent condensation.

Benefits of using awg products vs. doing nothing?

Previously, a number of desiccant dehumidifiers were used, which meant very high energy consumption. In the production room, condensation on cold surfaces can be avoided at a drastically lower energy consumption.
