Background information
Sofia Albertina Church has been in central Landskrona since 1788. The building is the main church of Landskrona parish and is open daily for the public to visit for both tranquility and lively events. 2017 saw the completion of an extensive renovation of the church. Among other things, new windows were cast, the walls and ceiling of the gigantic church room were repainted and new solutions for the indoor climate were installed.
Among the new features added to the church during the renovation was a textile storage room. Church textiles are priceless heirlooms from the parish's history, and mold and other moisture-related problems risk destroying them if the climate is not carefully controlled
What problems did the Airwatergreen dehumidifier solve?
We installed a FLEX Integrate in the textile room. The dehumidifier keeps the humidity stable at 50% RH and ensures that the textiles are stored in a safe environment.
The dehumidifier is integrated into the church's climate control system, so staff have full control of the climate from their computers and mobile phones.
The dehumidifier was placed on the wall above the door using a wall bracket. The condensate was evacuated with a transparent hose (for minimum visual impact) via the church bells' wire shaft down to the drain one floor below.
