Background information
Västerängsskolan is located in Håbo municipality. The school has pupils from pre-school to year 9 and after-school activities. There are also municipality-wide language classes with pupils from years 1-9. There are approximately 500 pupils at the school.
The reason for the installation was that staff and pupils had been complaining of headaches and itchy eyes for some time. During an inspection, mold was discovered in the crawl space under the school.

- Dehumidifiers were installed
- Ventilation was limited to the crawl space
The reduced ventilation limits the moisture load but also the energy consumption. Today, the crawl space is kept with a moisture level below 60% RH and without risk of mold growth
