Schools and apartment buildings
Schools and apartment buildings are buildings that are used daily and where there are many people for many hours of the day.
A healthy environment to live in
This makes it particularly important to maintain good air quality so that it is a healthy environment to live in.
It is becoming increasingly common for advanced control and monitoring systems to control and monitor the climate in buildings to create a good climate at the lowest possible energy consumption. Our dehumidifiers are equipped to be easily connected via Modbus or WiFi.
Creeping foundations
Challenge
The moisture load in crawl spaces usually comes from the ground. If the moisture level is too high, mold and bacterial growth will soon occur in the crawl space. Especially if there is organic material. Crawl spaces under schools can look very different. Often in the form of long corridors where it is important to ensure that a good air flow is created so that all parts of the crawl space are dehumidified.
Our solution
The FLEX dehumidifier can either be set to a given relative humidity level or to "mold index" (LIM1) which provides optimal control towards the right moisture level depending on the temperature in the crawl space. FLEX has built-in intelligence and can be connected to any monitoring system both to be controlled from there, but also to be able to enter data on temperature and moisture levels where the dehumidifier is installed. The installation is simplified by the fact that we generate dry air on site and the dry air is distributed in the space by the powerful built-in fan.
Electricity supply of 220V is usually available in most cases and water can be diverted in various ways by, for example, connecting to a floor drain that passes through the crawl space.
Winds
Moisture often occurs in well-insulated houses when moist air is ventilated in from outside.
Our solution
Installation is easy as the dehumidifier generates dry air on site and the dry air is distributed in the space by the powerful built-in fan.
Basement storage and other underground spaces
Challenge
Moisture in basements can come either from the ground but also from poorly drained walls. The risk of high moisture levels in basement spaces is both corrosion and mold in the space and that the moisture level is too high in the concrete. If the concrete is too moist, the reinforcement can start to corrode, which can lead to cracking of the concrete.
Our solution
FLEX and/or REX are best set at a relative humidity level below 55%RH to protect against corrosion and mold. Installation is simple as the dehumidifier generates dry air on site and the dry air is distributed in the space by the powerful built-in fan. It provides an easy installation in existing buildings.
A 220V power supply is usually available in most cases, and water can be diverted in various ways, for example by connecting to a floor drain.
Product selection for schools and apartment buildings
The choice of product depends mainly on the total moisture load but also on the design of the building. In small to medium-sized spaces FLEX is the natural choice. If there are cold surfaces with a risk of condensation, dew point sensors can be used to guide FLEX towards the right moisture level. Alternatively, the appropriate relative humidity (RH) level is set. FLEX can be mounted on a wall bracket or stand freely on the floor.
For installations in larger buildings and in rock caverns with higher moisture loads, it may be relevant to use one or more REX.
Both FLEX and REX can be connected to existing monitoring systems via Modbus.
